ICENETWORK and THE SUMMER CLASSIC ~ Junior and Senior Events

2012 GLACIER FALLS SUMMER CLASSIC AVAILABLE ON ICENETWORK.COM

The Glacier Falls Figure Skating Club announced today that portions of the 2012 Glacier Falls Summer Classic, to be held Aug. 2-5, at The Rinks-Anaheim Ice in Anaheim, Calif., will be available on-demand on icenetwork.com. Video coverage, which is free to registered users, will include the junior and senior events and be available 1-2 weeks after the end of the competition.

“We are pleased that figure skating fans hungry to watch skating action this summer will have a terrific opportunity to see some of the best skaters from the United States, Canada and other countries,” said Bob Marchese, President of Glacier Falls Figure Skating Club. “The Glacier Falls Summer Classic is one of the largest non-qualifying summer competitions in the United States and many fans consider it the unofficial start of the new skating season.”

More than 430 skaters will compete in all four disciplines at all levels during the event. In addition to on-demand video coverage, icenetwork.com will provide access to results and other event related news.

As one of U. S. Figure Skating’s official “Summer Team USA Camp” competitions, many top competitors will use this event as an opportunity to debut their new programs in front of national and international judges and officials prior to participating in Grand Prix, Junior Grand Prix or Senior B events this fall.

Glacier Falls Figure Skating Club, in association with Hurd Video, will provide footage of the event to icenetwork.com. Video will be available for viewing as quickly as possible following the conclusion of competition.

Fans wishing to watch the event in person may do so by purchasing tickets for $10 at the door. Admission is valid on a per day basis and is good for the entire day’s schedule of competition. A full event schedule may be found at www.glacierfalls.com or www.entryeeze.com.
