At the USFS Governing Council held in North Carolina, the Competitions Committee announced that Glacier Falls will be the host club for the 2014 Regional Championships.  The Championships will be held in Fall 2013.

WATCH and VOTE for Sean

The program videos, for each week, go up on YouTube each Friday by 9PM Pacific.  The voting concludes each Sunday at 9 PM Pacific, as does the judging.  (The judging and voting concludes 48 hours after the posting cutoff).   After that, the choreographers will get their rating for that week’s program, which will be posted on the website.  The rating is a star system (1 star, 1 1/2 stars etc).  At the end of the five weeks, the two contestants with the most stars go to Lake Placid for the the final live event.

An Evening on Ice

Presented by the US Athletic Foundation, “An Evening on Ice”, brings together the brightest champions in the sport of figure skating.  ”An Evening on Ice” will have two performances this year and will take place at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, CA on July 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm.  The proceeds of the event are to help provide funding for skaters in the foundation, of which Sean is a two year member.

Kendall was born with severe allergies - she is allergic to 95% of all food.  But that “small” fact wasn’t going to stop Kendall.  Not only has she found the love of skating, she has become a national spokeperson and a role model for other children with allergies.

In a fiery red dress, Anastasia wins the GOLD at the La Jolla Open !!!! Congrats

Sean has been named as one of 8 finalists in the Young Artists Showcase 3, which is a skating choreography contest hosted by Audrey Weisiger.  Sean choreographed a program, videoed it and sent it in.  Now he will have to choreograph a new program each week, for the next five weeks, and if chosen, will perform it in the Lake Placid, NY final.

Congratulations to Dr George Rossano on being nominated by the PSA to receive the 2012 The F. Ritter Shumway Award.   This award, which was created in 1989  is presented to “a person in the skating world who has earned distinction for unending dedication and significant contribution to the world of figure skating.”
